The Island offers a small number of outstanding dining options and a chance to taste quality cuisine including blue cod and crayfish.

For the opportunity to meet the locals and support local fundraising for projects, give the Den Kitchen a ring and ask about lunch and dinner on Wednesdays. Select from a variety of affordable, fresh and delicious homemade food, including blue cod, cooked to order and ready-made. Takeaway and dine in.

Most accommodation providers also cater for guests as well.

Food can also be purchased from Waitangi Store and Waitangi Wholesalers stocks a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.

The Islands’ remoteness ensures cold, clear, clean water that is key to the quality world class seafood for which the Islands are renowned. Frozen seafood can be purchased directly from the Chatham Islands Food Company or ordered online for mainland delivery.
